If seeing Malia Obama at a music festival forces you to remember the unforgiving passage of time, just imagine how her father feels. (Happy 53rd birthday, Mr. President!) Because after prom and an internship comes an indescribable draw toward hordes of other sweaty teens, the 16-year-old first daughter was spotted over the weekend at Lollapalooza in Chicago. And she stayed late for the finale.
Malia was seen exiting the grounds after fellow Chicago native Chance the Rapper’s closing set, which featured a cameo by R. Kelly. Festivalgoers freaked out in the only way the kids know how (on Twitter):
Ha-ha, what rules [mischevious emoji smile]?
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, "The crowd on Columbus was light as she walked well after the bulk of the crowd has gone at about 10:15 p.m. Malia was wearing a yellow v-neck romper, but more importantly, she and her guards had managed to stage clean in Lolla’s messy, muddy fields."
She did not wear a flower crown.
